Set in a small hamlet in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Cumbrian and Northumbrian borders this charming cottage is a great base to explore the surrounding countryside enjoy miles of quiet dog walks from the doorstep either on foot or by bike. Spend a day tackling the magnificent Hadrian s Wall followed by a pit stop in nearby Brampton with an ample choice of eateries and independent shops to explore. The world-famous Lake District is just a short drive away with its 12 lakes and endless opportunities to cycle walk or take a steamer boat trip. Nestled in a row of cottages step in through the stable door into a handy utility area with freezer washing machine and space to keep your bikes safe and secure. Take a couple of steps up into the cosy lounge/kitchen/diner and leave your boots at the door as the deep pile carpet sets the tone for the comfort of the cottage snuggle into one of the armchairs by the wood burner and watch TV or pick up a good book and lose yourself. There is a dining table which is set overlooking the impressive fireplace and makes a great spot for a celebration dinner. The kitchen provides everything you need to rustle up a good meal equipped with an electric oven and hob fridge and microwave. Completing the ground floor is the bathroom bright and airy with shower over bath and WC. Head upstairs to the first floor where the master double bedroom boasts dual aspect windows overlooking the surrounding countryside relax in bed whilst the wood burner in the room glows and crackles for a truly unique experience. Directly outside there is a right of way for the neighbouring cottages which leads to off-road parking for two cars. A little further behind is an enclosed grass garden surrounded by mature planting that leads to a gem with a hidden stream sit on the nearby bistro set and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that surrounds you.
